There are approximately 19,495 incorporated cities, towns and villages in the United States; each with their own unique histories, cultures, and ways of life. And, with all of these differences they are still connected by the dedicated public servants that work on their behalf every single day. Whether you work at the local fire department, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, a state park, or one of the thousands of other federal and non-federal organizations, I thank each and every one of you for your service. Unfortunately, because public servants are so dedicated to the mission, many believe that they have to choose between accomplishing the mission, and reaching their own career goals. If you are one of those dedicated servants I want you to know that you can have both.
